Sister Marge Friedhoff ’74 saw a problem and fixed it, creating the CARE clinic (Constipation and Reflux Evaluation) at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Independent thought, adaptability and improvisation are hallmarks of Mount Mercy nursing graduates.
Beating the Odds
As a student at Mount Mercy, Andrew Whitters '04 received a life-threatening diagnosis of Hodgkin’s disease — a form of cancer from which he has been in remission since 2005.
