Measures of Success and Innovation

Enrollment

  • Record Accelerated student enrollment in online and evening programs (426 students)
  • 29 countries represented by student enrollment for Fall 2013 (54 international students)

Innovation

  • Introduced the first online bachelor’s degree programs in Fall 2013 – business and human resource management.
  • Opened the only student-run MFT clinic in Iowa – The Gerald and Audrey Olson Marriage and Family Therapy Clinic

Fundraising

  • Received a $4 million matching grant from The Hall-Perrine Foundation to benefit the athletic complex.
  • 50% of all regular employees made gifts to the University in FY 2013.

Academic

  • Percent of faculty with terminal degrees increased to 65.1% in 2013.
  • Granted full 10-year reaccreditation with no stipulations by the Higher Learning Commission. (Spring 2013)

Student Experience

  • May 2013 Scholarship Day had 73 student presenters who participated in 48 unique presentations.
  • Mount Mercy students, faculty, staff and alumni performed 6,642 hours of volunteer work for the community in 2012-2013.

Outcomes

  • 522 (406 undergraduate and 116 graduate) lives were inspired and empowered with a Mount Mercy degree during Commencement 2013.
