Mount Mercy’s campus really comes alive in the fall. Many of you, dear readers, are alumni, so you know what I’m talking about. But since this is my first fall on the Hill since I was a wide-eyed student hoofing it up to class from the pit, I was blown away by the bustle and energy of the new school year. There’s so much to learn (for me and them), so much to see, do and feel. It’s an amazing time to be at Mount Mercy!

I am blessed to be back at Mount Mercy and honored to head up our magazine. We have a lot of exciting stories to share in this issue and a lot more planned for the future. The communications & marketing team here is as strong as it has ever been with fantastic leadership, a driven and talented staff, and support from across the university. Like I said before, for many, many reasons, it’s an amazing time to be at Mount Mercy!

As President Hamen mentions in her letter, Mount Mercy is packed this year. We’re enjoying record enrollment and a near-record number of students living on campus. Especially thanks to our residential students, Mount Mercy’s campus is buzzing. Be sure to follow our Facebook to see all the fun we’re having up on the Hill. Seriously, I shouldn’t be allowed to enjoy my job this much!

Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting our university, and thank you for staying up-to-date with what’s happening at Mount Mercy. Take care and have a wonderful holiday season.
